Can you believe summer in Washington DC is coming to an end?? I am so torn between wanting summer to last forever and ever but also being 100% ready for my kids to get back into school 😉 Since it is Labor Day weekend I thought it would be the perfect time to blog our second seasonal session of the year – a super fun, summertime themed session at the river. Or maybe it’s a creek? I am really not the most outdoorsy person so I’m not sure! But what I do know is that I love these photos!
As part of a personal project for 2019, I am taking my kiddos out for a themed photo shoot each season. We’ve had a blast under the blossoms for our spring entry and I thought the river would be the perfect location for summer! Add in some fun inflatable floats, cute swimsuits, and cool sunglasses and we were all set!
Ready for an epic-ly cute series of high five photos?
Love them!! Also – how are they so big now?!
Who doesn’t hula hoop a flamingo floatie? 😉
No photo shoot with my kids is complete without a jumping photo.
So long summer of 2019! You were so good to us and we’re really going to miss you!
Once again, I’m participating in my super awesome blog circle with some amaaaazing fellow photogs. Make sure to follow the circle all the way around to see what fun everyone is sharing 🙂 Next up is – Anna Rasmussen who is sharing some great Okinawa Fall Family Portraits. I don’t know about you, but those images are making me so excited for fall family sessions in Maryland!
And one last thing – since summer is officially over after this long weekend, that means it’s time to start thinking about fall photos! I’ve been busy planning some amazing sessions for my Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia families and my fall calendar is quickly filling up. If your family is hoping for a spot, please contact me ASAP! I will also be announcing my yearly mini session event next week on my Facebook page. As always, these sessions are very limited and also very popular, which means they sell out super fast. Keep an eye on my page for announcements 🙂 I can’t wait to capture your family’s magic! xoxo
