Where are you located?

I live in Frederick, MD and have clients all around the DMV area as a Washington DC newborn photographer! I am also available for travel and would love to come to you and your family, no matter where you live.

When should we book our session?

My sessions tend to book a few months in advance (especially in the fall), so as soon as you decide you want to book a session with me, you should contact me. I can be reached via email at tonya.teran@gmail.com or you can use the contact form on this site. in order to give each client the attention and service they deserve, I only book a select number of sessions per month . For newborn sessions, please try to book the session before the baby is born (ideally sometime during your second trimester) in order to make sure that I have a spot saved in my calendar for you.

How do I schedule a newborn session when I don’t know exactly when the baby will be born?

As a mom of two, I understand that newborns can be completely unpredictable! For newborn sessions, I just pencil in your due date (or scheduled c-section date). Once your baby arrives, please let me know as soon as possible (via text or email) and we can pick a date for about one week later.

Where do sessions take place?

I offer two options for family sessions; in-home or on-location. In-home sessions are a great choice for a relaxed session where your family is most comfortable. Being able to mix lifestyle images with classic portraits is my favorite part of traveling to my clients’ homes. All newborn sessions take place in your home. On-location sessions take place in scenic spots around the DC area, typically during the last two gorgeous golden hours of sunlight. Many of my locations are featured on my website and social media pages, but if you have a special spot you would like to use, that’s always an option too! I love to take a lifestyle approach to my outdoor sessions and really love documenting your family making memories.

Do you offer a baby plan?

I sure do! With a one time session fee, your Watch Me Grow membership includes two full sessions plus your choice of a mini maternity session or a mini six-month session. Let’s capture those milestones!

When can we see our images?

You will receive a password protected online gallery 2-3 weeks after your session. You can share the gallery link with friends and family for 10 days.

When will our purchased photos and albums be ready?

Your products will be ready about 4-6 weeks after your order is received. Digital images are available immediately after payment via digital download.

What should we wear?

What you are wearing for your session is just as important as all the other details such as lighting, location, and posing. I will work together with you to help create the best look for your session. The biggest rule is to remember to be yourself and be comfortable!
