It has been a long, looooong time since I’ve posted any personal pictures or news about my family on this blog. I still post on my Instagram account regularly (make sure to follow me for all my super interesting iphone pics/videos :p). I’ve tried (and failed) a 365 project too many times. And since I can’t quite seem to stick to those, I’ve been making sure to pull out my big camera and take photos at least a once a month and that keeps me happy 🙂
Most of my clients know that we moved last summer from our Rockville home to a brand new town a bit more north 🙂 Just far enough that it felt like a totally new beginning but still close enough to keep all of my clients (and hopefully gain some new ones!). We had a really busy summer unpacking, getting to know our new neighborhood and of course all the regular summer craziness. Then all of a sudden, it was time for school to start. This was Brooks’ first year in preschool and Caely started 2nd grade. Brooks, being Brooks, refused a first day of school photo but I was able to snap one right before we hopped in the car (he’s such a stinker)
Shortly after school started, Caely and I traveled to Boston for the weekend to see One Direction! My sister and Caely’s Pop Pop joined us and we had a seriously amazing time. We sat 2nd row and I’m pretty sure Caely had the best 1st concert experience EVER (plus Harry Styles threw us his towel, pretty hard to top that!)!
One of my biggest goals for our new area was (obviously) to find new spots for photos 🙂 Luckily I have two perfectly adorable test subjects to work with 😉 and October provided the perfect scenery for location scouting!
Then it was Halloween! I had a silly little witch and a silly little Buzz Lightyear this year 🙂
In November we had our family photos taken by Twelve Lines Photography, looking back through my computer I didn’t take too many pictures of my own that month, probably because she gave me so many gorgeous ones to love! In December we visited Santa at Adventure Park for a pancake breakfast and successfully had our first Santa trip without tears! Brooks asked for underwear (ha) and Caely asked for a Barbie that can ride a horse.
This was our Elf inspired Christmas shot. The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is singing loud for all to hear! Very loud, in our case 😀
January was full of snow, snow, more snow, and many lazy days inside.
After all the snowstorms (and snow days!), it was time for Brooks’ birthday! Can you believe he turned THREE?!
This month Caely had a piece of her artwork featured at a local art gallery! Her painting was a self portrait of her as a nurse. <3 <3 <3
And that brings us up to date! I can’t believe how fast this past year has been flying by! I am so excited that spring seems to finally be here and I can’t wait for new warm weather adventures! Make sure to follow my Facebook page for the latest update and announcements (and of course, cute pictures!) xoxo
