As a DC outdoor family photographer, one of my favorite locations to plan a session with my clients is definitely the monuments! Sunrise makes this location just perfection. No crowds, gorgeous light, and iconic DC sights provide the perfect location for your family photo session.
On a sunny October morning last fall I met this adorable family and we spent the next hour creating some of my favorite images of 2020. The pops of orange in the trees matched their outfits perfectly and I just loved capturing their love for one another. Many families slow down their annual family photo session once the kids start getting older. And I get it! My kids are getting to that age now too. It’s tough once they pass that chubby, adorable, toddler phase. But!! Family photos with older kids are still so important! I promise – your kids (and you!) will cherish these ‘older kid’ memories. And as a Washington DC family photographer for the last 10+ years, I know all the tricks to get these teens to happily participate 🙂
