When should I book my session?
I tend to book a few months in advance so as soon as you decide you want to book a session with me, you should contact me
I only book a select number of sessions per month in order to give each client the attention and service they deserve. For newborn sessions, please book the session before the baby is born in order to make sure that I have a spot saved in my calendar for you.
**Please note that I am booking for May-July 2013. We will be welcoming our second child in early February of next year, so I will be on maternity leave from February-March. **
What will my session be like?
My sessions take place at the location of your choice. I have a small studio set up in my home where most of my indoor sessions take place. There are a number of outdoor locations that I can suggest but I am always open to discovering new places if you have a location in mind. As long as there is a lot of natural light, the opportunities are endless!
For outdoor locations, I prefer to do the session in the morning or late afternoon when natural light is the best.
My sessions usually last between 1-2 hours. Newborn sessions can last up to 3 hours to allow for changing, feedings, and soothing of the baby.
What should we wear?
Newborns:
Newborns are always best photographed in their birthday suit or a simple diaper cover. Parents of newborns should have a long sleeve black shirt available for the session as well as at least one more outfit. Hopefully one that shows your personality more than a black shirt![]()
Babies & Toddlers:
Multiple outfits are strongly encouraged! I always like to suggest bringing at least one neutral colored outfit. Fun colors, textures, and simple patterns photograph great but stay away from logos or pictures on clothing. I also have a variety of tutus and other fun items in my studio that we can use.
If your child has a special toy or blanket, feel free to bring it along. These are the special moments and memories that I like to capture and these are the ones that you are going to want to remember!
Families:
Try to coordinate with your child’s clothing. Try to keep your outfits in the same color scheme but not necessarily the same color.
